Data packsFailed to load registries due to above errors
What the log looks like
java\.lang\.IllegalStateException: Failed to load registries due to above errors
Failed to load registries due to above errors[\r\n\s]+at [^\r\n]*RegistryLoader\.load\(
How to fix it
- Open your Minecraft instance folder, navigate to the logs folder, and open latest.log (not the crash report) in a text editor.
- Scroll to the bottom and search upward for 'Failed to load registries' or 'Registry loading errors' to find the exact broken JSON file paths printed right above the crash.
- Look at the namespace right before the colon in those broken file paths (for example, 'modid:worldgen/biome/...') to identify the exact mod ID or datapack causing the error.
- Update or remove the offending mod or datapack, or install any required dependency mods that its error message mentions as missing.
- If you use a global datapack loader (such as Paxi or Open Loader) or have mods like Not Enough Crashes installed, check your global datapack folders as well and remove Not Enough Crashes while testing.
