How to fix it

  1. Disable any active VPNs, proxy servers, or third-party firewall/antivirus network shields and relaunch the game.
  2. Allow your launcher's Java executable (`javaw.exe`) through Windows Defender Firewall for both Private and Public networks.
  3. Check your system `hosts` file (`C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts` on Windows) and remove any lines mentioning `mojang.com` or `minecraftservices.com` left behind by illegal account-alt tools.
  4. Log out of your Microsoft account inside your Minecraft launcher, log back in to refresh your session token, and restart your router if connections still time out.
  5. If your game actually crashed to the desktop, scroll further down in `latest.log`—this authentication error is a non-fatal background warning and not the cause of game crashes.
