Missing dependenciesForge Crash: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: bxl (GuiModsMissing)
What it looks like in the log
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: bxl
How to fix it
- Update Minecraft Forge 1.10.2 to the latest Recommended version (12.18.3.2185 or newer) so the GuiModsMissing screen can render properly without crashing on bxl.
- Relaunch Minecraft; Forge should now show the Missing Mods warning screen listing the exact mod or version you need to download.
- If the crash still occurs, open logs/fml-client-latest.log in your Minecraft directory and search for 'Missing Mods' or 'requires' to identify the missing dependency directly from the log.
- If you have NotEnoughItems (NEI) installed on 1.10.2, update NEI and CodeChickenLib to their latest 1.10.2 builds, install JustEnoughItems (JEI), and remove legacy CodeChickenCore.
- Check standalone coremods in your mods folder (such as MicdoodleCore without Galacticraft, or mismatched 1.9.4/1.10.2 library versions) and install their matching main mods or required libraries.
