Wrong Minecraft versionAttempted to retrieve active rendering plug-in before one was registered
What the log looks like
java\.lang\.UnsupportedOperationException: Attempted to retrieve active rendering plug-in before one was registered\.
net\.fabricmc\.fabric\.impl\.(?:client\.)?renderer\.RendererManager\.getRenderer
How to fix it
- Update Sodium and Iris Shaders to their latest releases for your Minecraft version, as newer builds add support for recent Fabric API changes.
- If Sodium and Iris are already on their latest versions, downgrade Fabric API to the previous stable release (avoiding beta builds) until Sodium updates.
- If you are on an older Minecraft version where Sodium did not include built-in FRAPI support, install the matching version of Indium alongside Sodium.
- Temporarily remove Iris Shaders and test again if updating Sodium and downgrading Fabric API does not stop the crash.
