Launcher problemsFabric / Iris Crash: FileSystemException Invalid Argument (Windows Path on Linux)
What it looks like in the log
java.nio.file.FileSystemException: /mnt/transfer/Games/Minecraft/<duong-dan> Invalid argument
How to fix it
- Open your Minecraft Launcher, go to the Installations tab, and delete the Iris profile that was originally created on Windows (and delete its matching `iris-fabric-loader-...` folder inside `.minecraft/versions/`).
- Instead of sharing a standalone Iris profile across operating systems, install standard Fabric Loader and place the Iris and Sodium `.jar` files directly into `.minecraft/mods/`.
- Alternatively, re-run the Iris Installer natively on Linux so it generates a valid Linux path for your installation.
- If the Iris Installer fails to open a window on Linux (such as Fedora on Wayland), install the full OpenJDK package with GUI libraries instead of headless Java (e.g., `sudo dnf install java-21-openjdk`) and run the installer again.
