HMCL Crash on Startup: MalformedURLException in Update Checker

How to fix it

  1. Close HMCL completely.
  2. Manually download HMCL version 3.2.143 or the latest release from the official HMCL website (hmcl.huangyuhui.net) or the HMCL-dev/HMCL GitHub Releases page.
  3. Move the newly downloaded HMCL executable or JAR file into your HMCL folder to replace the broken 3.2.140 file, keeping your existing '.hmcl' and '.minecraft' directories intact.
  4. Launch the updated HMCL file.
