HMCL Login Failed: ForbiddenOperationException (Token Does Not Exist)

How to fix it

  1. Open HMCL and click on the Account section in the left-hand sidebar.
  2. Remove the failing account from your account list, or click its re-login icon to enter your password again and generate a new token.
  3. If you are trying to use an official Minecraft account via the old Mojang login option, add a new account using the Microsoft Account option instead, as Mojang login servers are shut down.
  4. If you use a custom Yggdrasil authentication server (Authlib-Injector), verify on that provider's website that your account and character profile are still active, then add the account again in HMCL.
  5. Update HMCL to the latest stable version if you are running an older 3.3.x build that lacks full Microsoft authentication support.
