Mod conflictsIris Shaders: Tried to use a destroyed GlResource
What the log looks like
java\.lang\.IllegalStateException: Tried to use a destroyed GlResource
net\.coderbot\.iris\.gl\.GlResource\.assertValid
How to fix it
- Open Options -> Video Settings -> Shader Packs and turn shaders off before loading into a world, then re-enable your shader pack once you are in-game.
- Update Iris, Sodium, and heavy rendering mods like Immersive Portals or Vivecraft to their newest compatible builds for your Minecraft version, as many pipeline lifecycle bugs were fixed in later updates.
- Read the stack trace below the net.coderbot.iris lines to spot conflicting rendering mods (such as org.vivecraft, qouteall.imm_ptl, or custom sky mods) and remove the conflicting mod if updating does not stop the crash.
- If using Immersive Portals or Vivecraft, test with a lighter shader pack or disable shader shadows, since shadow depth textures are the resource most frequently destroyed during extra render passes.
