Couldn't Find Registry Entry for Worldgen Placed Feature

What it looks like in the log

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Couldn't find registry entry for ResourceKey[minecraft:worldgen/placed_feature / create:striated_ores_overworld]`

How to fix it

  1. Open your custom datapack's pack.mcmeta file and remove any "filter" rules that block worldgen/placed_feature or worldgen/configured_feature files from the mod named in the error.
  2. To safely disable a mod's ore or feature generation without crashing, override its placed_feature JSON file inside your datapack (e.g., data/<modid>/worldgen/placed_feature/<feature_name>.json) and set its "placement" list to an empty array: [] while keeping its "feature" field valid.
  3. If you did not create this datapack yourself, check your world's datapacks folder (or global datapack loader folder like Paxi/OpenLoader) and remove outdated worldgen datapacks that do not match your current mod versions.
  4. Check the mod's config folder first—mods like Create often provide built-in config toggles to disable ore generation without needing a datapack.
