Mod conflictsSodium Crash: BufferUnderflowException in MultiDrawBatch
What the log looks like
java\.nio\.BufferUnderflowException[\s\S]{0,200}me\.jellysquid\.mods\.sodium\.client\.gl\.util\.MultiDrawBatch\$UnsafeMultiDrawBatch\.add
me\.jellysquid\.mods\.sodium\.client\.gl\.util\.MultiDrawBatch\$UnsafeMultiDrawBatch\.add\(MultiDrawBatch\.java:\d+\)
How to fix it
- Check your crash report for 'cullleaves' in the stacktrace; if you have the Cull Leaves mod installed, remove or update it, as it conflicts with Sodium's chunk draw batching.
- Update both Sodium and Iris Shaders to the newest builds available for your Minecraft version so you have the latest chunk renderer fixes.
- If the stacktrace mentions 'ShadowRenderer.renderShadows', lower your Shadow Distance (or Max Shadow Distance in shader pack settings) and Render Distance in Video Settings to reduce the number of shadow draw calls.
- If the crash still occurs when exploring or flying rapidly, toggle shaders off (press 'K' by default with Iris) while traveling across unloaded chunks.
