Mod conflictsCannot Create a FluidStack from a Null Fluid
What the log looks like
java\.lang\.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot create a fluidstack from a null fluid
Cannot create a fluidstack from a null fluid\s+at net\.minecraftforge\.fluids\.FluidStack\.<init>
How to fix it
- Check the first stacktrace line directly beneath `net.minecraftforge.fluids.FluidStack.<init>` (for example, `buildcraft` or `tconstruct`) to identify which mod owns the broken machine or GUI.
- Update that specific mod to its latest build for your Minecraft version, as many older machine mods had known GUI packet bugs when tanks emptied.
- If this happens on a multiplayer server, ensure your client `mods` and `config` folders match the server so fluid IDs line up properly.
- If you recently removed a mod that added liquids, break the affected tank, engine, or smeltery controller in-game without right-clicking its GUI, or remove the block using a world editor after backing up your world.
