Graphics and driversOpenGL Crash: GL_FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_ATTACHMENT
What the log looks like
java\.lang\.RuntimeException: GL_FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_ATTACHMENT
GL_FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_ATTACHMENT[\s\S]{0,300}?(?:Framebuffer|RenderTarget)
How to fix it
- If OptiFine is installed, remove its `.jar` from the `mods` folder (or disable Video Settings -> Performance -> Fast Render in `optionsof.txt` by setting `ofFastRender:false`).
- If you are playing on Android/Linux ARM via PojavLauncher or a similar launcher, switch the renderer in your launcher settings from Holy GL4ES (OpenGL 2.1 wrapper) to VirGL, Zink, or LTW/MobileGlues, as standard GL4ES does not support modded stencil framebuffers.
- If you are using Create on a low-end GPU, open `config/flywheel-client.toml` (or `create-client.toml` in newer versions) and set the Flywheel backend to `OFF` (`backend = "OFF"`).
- On a Windows or Linux PC, ensure Minecraft is running on your dedicated NVIDIA or AMD GPU rather than integrated graphics, and install the latest graphics driver directly from your GPU manufacturer.
- Check that your game window is not minimized or resized to zero pixels while Minecraft finishes loading, as zero-sized windows cause incomplete framebuffer attachments on some drivers.
