Mod conflictsIris Shaders & Immersive Portals: Tried to use a destroyed GlResource / RenderTargets
What it looks like in the log
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Tried to use destroyed RenderTargets
How to fix it
- Update Iris Shaders, Sodium, and Immersive Portals to the latest versions available for your Minecraft version, as newer builds fix portal render target lifecycle bugs.
- Press 'K' in-game (or edit config/iris.properties) to toggle shaders off temporarily if your pause menu or UI becomes invisible and unresponsive.
- Test with a different shader pack or reset your current shader pack's shadow settings, since complex shadow passes trigger depth texture disposal issues with portals.
- If no compatible update exists for your Minecraft version, disable Immersive Portals' shader rendering by setting 'renderYourselfInPortal' or portal rendering mode to 'compatibility' in the Immersive Portals configuration.
