Mod conflictsIris Shaders and Distant Horizons Blaze3D Rendering API Crash
What it looks like in the log
net.minecraft.ReportedException: loading Distant Horizons. Iris doesn't support DH when using the [BLAZE_3D] rendering API, this will need to be fixed
How to fix it
- Open your Minecraft instance folder and go into the config directory.
- Open DistantHorizons.toml in a text editor such as Notepad.
- Search the file for BLAZE_3D, change that rendering API value to OPEN_GL, and save the file.
- Relaunch Minecraft, or check Modrinth/CurseForge for an updated version of Iris Shaders that adds Blaze3D support for Distant Horizons.
- If you do not want to edit the config file manually, temporarily remove Iris Shaders, launch the game once to change Distant Horizons' rendering API to OpenGL in its in-game settings, and then reinstall Iris.
