How to fix it

  1. Update Entity Texture Features (ETF) and Entity Model Features (EMF) to the latest available versions for your Minecraft release, as newer builds fix the null RenderLayer call.
  2. Update Iris Shaders and Xaero's Minimap to their latest compatible versions for your mod loader.
  3. If the crash persists while teleporting, open Xaero's Minimap Settings > Entity Radar Settings and switch entity icons from Icons/Heads to Dots so the minimap stops pre-rendering full 3D models.
  4. Temporarily disable custom entity model resource packs (such as Fresh Animations) to confirm whether a broken texture override in a pack is triggering the failure.
