How to fix it

  1. Check your 'mods' folder for 'cat_armor' (such as cat_armor-1.0.1+1.21.jar), which is the known cause of the 'basic_tessControl.tcs' error.
  2. Update Cat Armor to a newer release that fixes Iris compatibility, or remove the mod from your 'mods' folder.
  3. If you do not have Cat Armor installed, disable any recently added mods or resource packs that modify core shaders ('shaders/core/') and test loading your shader pack again.
  4. Relaunch Minecraft, open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs, and re-enable your desired shader pack.
