Wrong Minecraft version

Iris and Sodium Version Mismatch (Mixin Transformation of class_7764 Failed)

What the log looks like

java\.lang\.BootstrapMethodError: java\.lang\.RuntimeException: Mixin transformation of net\.minecraft\.class_7764 failed
java\.lang\.IllegalStateException: An invalid version of Sodium is installed, and the warning screen somehow didn't work\.
Skipping sodium\.mixins\.json:features\.mipmaps\.MixinSpriteContents from mod sodium.*already redirected by mixins\.iris\.bettermipmaps\.json:MixinTextureAtlasSprite

How to fix it

  1. Open your Minecraft mods folder and check the filenames of your installed Sodium and Iris JAR files.
  2. If you are playing on Minecraft 1.19.4 with Sodium 0.4.11, delete Sodium 0.4.11 and install Sodium 0.4.10 instead, as 0.4.11 was withdrawn due to stability issues.
  3. Download and install the latest release of Iris for your Minecraft version from Modrinth or CurseForge, checking its changelog or dependencies to confirm which exact Sodium version it supports.
  4. If you use Sodium add-ons such as Indium or Reese's Sodium Options, replace them with versions built for your installed Sodium version before restarting the game.
