Mod conflictsIris Crash: Cannot invoke WorldRenderingPipeline.setPhase because this.pipeline is null
What it looks like in the log
java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "net.coderbot.iris.pipeline.WorldRenderingPipeline.setPhase(net.coderbot.iris.pipeline.WorldRenderingPha
How to fix it
- Check the crash report stacktrace right below the net.minecraft.class_761 lines to identify the conflicting rendering mod, such as Block of Sky (net.cerulan.blockofsky).
- Update Block of Sky (or the mod shown in that part of the stacktrace) and Iris Shaders to their latest versions for your Minecraft release, as newer versions adjust render timing to avoid this clash.
- If no update is available for the conflicting mod, remove that mod (for example, delete the blockofsky .jar file from your mods folder) when playing with Iris installed.
- Note that simply turning shaders off inside Video Settings will not prevent this crash; either the conflicting mod or Iris itself must be updated or removed.
