Wrong Minecraft versionNoSuchMethodError: org.lwjgl.opengl.WGL.wglGetCurrentContext() on Startup
What it looks like in the log
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: 'long org.lwjgl.opengl.WGL.wglGetCurrentContext()'
How to fix it
- Open your instance settings in your launcher (such as Prism Launcher or MultiMC) and select the 'Version' tab.
- Select the 'LWJGL 3' entry, click 'Change version' (or 'Revert'), and switch it from 3.4.x back to 3.3.3 so the game uses its intended LWJGL release.
- If you are using the official launcher or did not customize LWJGL, check your mods folder and JVM arguments for anything forcing an external LWJGL 3.4+ build and remove it.
- Relaunch Minecraft; if the issue persists on an unmaintained Minecraft release like 1.21.5, remove Sodium or move to a supported game version.
