Sodium 0.6+ Crash: NoClassDefFoundError me/jellysquid/mods/sodium/client/SodiumClientMod

What it looks like in the log

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: me.jellysquid.mods.sodium.client.SodiumClientMod

How to fix it

  1. Find the line starting with 'Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: me/jellysquid/mods/sodium/client/SodiumClientMod' in your crash report and read the very next 'at' line to identify the outdated mod (for example, 'ca.fxco.moreculling' points to More Culling).
  2. Update the identified mod—and any other Sodium addons in your mods folder—to a release that explicitly supports Sodium 0.6.0 or newer.
  3. If you have Indium installed alongside Sodium 0.6.0+, delete the Indium JAR from your mods folder, as Sodium 0.6+ includes built-in Fabric Rendering API support and makes Indium obsolete.
  4. If the incompatible mod has not been updated for Sodium 0.6+ yet, temporarily remove it from your mods folder or downgrade Sodium to version 0.5.11.
