Mod conflictsRoughly Enough Items (REI) Crash: fromIndex > toIndex in PaginatedEntryListWidget
What the log looks like
java\.lang\.IllegalArgumentException: fromIndex\(\d+\) > toIndex\(\d+\)[\s\S]{1,300}me\.shedaniel\.rei\.impl\.client\.gui\.widget\.entrylist\.PaginatedEntryListWidget\.updateEntries
How to fix it
- Update Roughly Enough Items (REI) and Architectury API to their latest available versions for your Minecraft version, as newer builds fix this page-bounds calculation bug.
- If no update is available, open REI's settings in-game (click the wrench/config icon), go to Appearance -> Scrolling Entry List, and switch the item list from Paginated mode to Scrolling mode.
- If you cannot open an inventory without crashing, close the game and edit or delete `config/rei/config.json5` in your Minecraft instance folder to reset custom filters, collapsible entry groups, and pagination settings.
