Wrong Minecraft versionNoSuchMethodError: SodiumWorldRenderer.getMemoryDebugStrings() with Sodium 0.5+
What it looks like in the log
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: 'java.util.Collection me.jellysquid.mods.sodium.client.render.SodiumWorldRenderer.getMemoryDebugStrings()'
How to fix it
- Check the first 'at' line directly underneath the NoSuchMethodError in your crash report to confirm which mod called Sodium (for example, com.minenash.customhud indicates the Custom HUD mod).
- Update Custom HUD (or the mod named on that stacktrace line) from Modrinth or CurseForge to a release that supports Sodium 0.5.0 or newer.
- If an updated version of that HUD mod does not exist for your Minecraft version yet, remove its .jar file from your mods folder so you can join worlds normally.
- Do not delete internal files inside the Sodium .jar or config folder, as this crash is strictly a mod version mismatch.
