Wrong Minecraft version

Sodium Crash: NoClassDefFoundError SpriteExtended

What the log looks like

java\.lang\.NoClassDefFoundError: me/jellysquid/mods/sodium/client/render/texture/SpriteExtended

How to fix it

  1. Open your full crash report (`crash-client.txt`) and look directly below the `NoClassDefFoundError: ...SpriteExtended` line in the stack trace to identify which mod called the missing class (for example, `portal_cubed`).
  2. Update the offending mod to its latest version that supports your installed version of Sodium (such as Sodium 0.6+).
  3. If the offending mod has not been updated for newer Sodium versions yet, either remove that mod or downgrade Sodium (and Iris, if installed) to an older compatible release such as Sodium 0.5.x.
  4. If you downgraded to Sodium 0.5.x on Minecraft 1.20.1, install a matching version of Indium if required by your mods (note that Sodium 0.6+ no longer uses Indium).
