How to fix it

1. If you are troubleshooting a Minecraft crash or launcher display issue, look past this warning—it is a red herring unrelated to game crashes, and you should check your game log or .minecraft/crash-reports/ for the actual error.
2. To update HMCL while automatic updates are failing, manually download the latest HMCL .exe or .jar from the official GitHub Releases page (github.com/HMCL-dev/HMCL/releases) and replace your current launcher file.
3. Wait and try again later if you only want automatic update checks to work again, since HTTP 500 errors happen on HMCL's remote server rather than on your computer.
