Resource packsIris Failed to Load Shaderpack: JsonElement.getAsBoolean() NullPointerException
What it looks like in the log
java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "com.google.gson.JsonElement.getAsBoolean()" because the return value of "com.google.gson.JsonObject.get
How to fix it
- Update Iris Shaders from Modrinth or CurseForge to the latest release for your Minecraft version, as newer versions properly handle optional blur and clamp entries.
- Check the log line starting with 'Failed to load the shaderpack' right above the error to see which shaderpack failed, and download an updated release of that shaderpack if available.
- If you cannot update Iris, unzip the affected shaderpack, locate any .mcmeta files inside it, and edit their "texture" JSON blocks so both "blur" and "clamp" boolean keys are explicitly defined (defaulting the missing key to false).
