Resource packsGame Crashes When Clicking 'Copy Info' Link in Chat (NullPointerException in mouseClicked)
What it looks like in the log
java.lang.NullPointerException @ mouseClicked event handler [net.fabricmc]
How to fix it
- Avoid clicking the '[Copy Info]' link in chat after a shader error; instead, open your '.minecraft/logs/latest.log' file directly to view the underlying error.
- Update Iris Shaders (and Sodium) to the latest version available for your Minecraft release so empty shader error messages no longer crash the clipboard handler.
- Switch off the failing shader pack in Options -> Video Settings -> Shader Packs, especially if you are on macOS using a shader pack that requires unsupported OpenGL 4.4+ features (such as Photon).
- If 'latest.log' does not show the full shader failure trace, open '.minecraft/config/iris.properties', set 'enableDebugOptions=true', restart the game, and check 'latest.log' again after reloading the shader.
