How to fix it

  1. Open logs/latest.log and scroll up above the Applied Energistics 2 stack trace to find the actual message that triggered the server shutdown.
  2. Check if the server halted because the EULA was not accepted ('You need to agree to the EULA in order to run the server'), and set eula=true in eula.txt if so.
  3. Look earlier in the log for fatal startup issues such as 'FAILED TO BIND TO PORT', missing mod dependencies, or duplicate mods.
  4. Check the crash-reports folder for a timestamped crash report generated moments before shutdown, which will show the true root-cause mod or configuration error.
