Resource packsGenerating Mipmaps for Frame (ReportedException)
What it looks like in the log
net.minecraft.util.ReportedException: Generating mipmaps for frame
How to fix it
- Open your Minecraft game directory, open options.txt in a text editor, change mipmapLevels to mipmapLevels:0, save the file, and launch the game to disable mipmap generation.
- If the crash happened after applying a resource pack, delete or move that pack out of your resourcepacks folder, or reset resourcePacks:[] in options.txt.
- Check the stack trace right below 'Generating mipmaps for frame' for mod package names (for example, com.rwtema.extrautils2 or matteroverdrive) and update those mods to their latest versions for your Minecraft release.
- If you are making a custom resource pack, verify that every PNG texture uses power-of-two dimensions and that any .mcmeta animation frame settings match the actual image dimensions.
